Beyond the Hurt Anti-Bullying Session for Parents

Bullying is a significant problem in our culture, and LCS is not immune from it. Last November, a group of LCS staff and students coordinated the Beyond the Hurt anti-bullying program. Workshops for staff and students focused on the nature of bullying and harassment, as well as on strategies for intervention. The program also includes a session for parents.

We have scheduled a Beyond the Hurt parent workshop for Thursday, February 18, 7:30pmin the Middle/High Band Room.

Lorraine McLeod, from the Red Cross will facilitate the session. All parents are encouraged to attend, whether your child is "the bully, the bullied or the bystander"* or if your child has been doing his/her part to stop the bullying. Please mark this important event on your calendar.

We pray that these activities may increasingly lead LCS to be the "safe, caring environment" we say we want it to be, so that ALL of our students can focus on developing their gifts and becoming the persons God intended them to be.
